Burnt oak classy console/dining table.

The oak is one of the most desirable spices for furniture. It is strong, solid, fairly stable and symbolises wisdom. It is because it often vastly outlives human lifepan.

Midnight Edge” is an interesting piece. This oak burned in the forest, somewhere in Devon. The log was air dried and then brought for milling in 2002. When milled, it was stored for over 20 years. This particular tree was over 150 years old before it burned. I wanted to pay a tribute to its life and death. I intended to highlight it’s struggles, the burr (holes in the wood) during it’s development and its charred surface at it’s last days. The charred sides were solidified with penetrating and table top epoxy. Ultimately, the “Midnight Edge” is a symbol of a new meaning.

Unique black table base, complements the top. If you value aesthetics, the artistic aspect and history, then Midnight Edge is for you. It is only one of a kind.
